Eric Dosal Returns to BrightGauge Software as CEO

BrightGauge Software, a web-based analytics and reporting platform for Managed Services Providers (MSPs), today announced that Eric Dosal will return to the company he co-founded with his brother in 2010 to serve as its CEO.  With more than 13 years of experience starting, developing and optimizing various family-owned and operated IT businesses, Dosal will lead BrightGauge’s global sales and marketing teams.

In August 2012, Dosal left his family’s businesses after leading the successful sale of its five-year-old Compuquip Managed IT Services (MITS) group to All Covered, a division of Konica Minolta Business Services and one of the nation’s leading MITS providers.  With the acquisition, All Covered named Dosal managing director for South Florida and appointed him to lead the seamless transition of the family subsidiary to the All Covered brand.

“We’re excited to welcome Eric back to build on the momentum he and his brother cultivated since they initially developed BrightGauge,” said Alberto Dosal, chairman of BrightGauge Software and its sister company Compuquip Technologies.  “The timing couldn’t be more perfect as the company plans to introduce new product updates, add staff and expand its global client base, which covers six continents.”

Previously, Eric Dosal was president and CEO of Compuquip Technologies, where he co-founded the company’s MITS division, more than tripled its IT support team and helped to grow the business 350 percent.  He began working for the family business in 2002 as an account manager, during which time he established and grew its largest sales territory and managed accounts representing 60 percent of the company’s revenue.

Early in his career, Dosal was an associate with the Investment Banking Group at Blaylock & Partners in New York City, where he worked with Fortune 500 companies on IPOs, public high-yield-debt offerings, private placements and mergers and acquisitions.

Active in charitable organizations, Dosal supports the National Brain Tumor Foundation and the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, for which he helps to raise funds during its annual Nautica South Beach Triathlon. In addition, he is a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the Young Presidents Organization and the Babson College President's Society.

Dosal holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and investments from Babson College, where he graduated magna cum laude and earned the Wallace P. Mors Award for top finance student.
