Interior Image Group designs new hotel casegoods line for Klem Hospitality

Interior Image Group (www.interiorimagegroup.com), one of the hospitality industry's emerging leaders of interior architecture and design, was recently selected by Klem, the renowned manufacturer of hospitality furniture, to collaborate on the design of an entire new line of hotel guestroom furniture to be branded as their new “Imagination” Series.

The first of four distinct styles - called ‘Cosmopolitan’ - had its debut to the industry at the Hospitality Design Expo this past May in Las Vegas at the Klem booth. The four-part series is a joint effort by both IIG and Klem to turn “Inspiration” into reality, featuring the light, airy openness of European influence.

The concept for the “Cosmopolitan” headboard was drawn from the night sky of metropolitan Chicago bordering the Great Lakes. The raised dark walnut panel, representing the water, has a translucent appearance, allowing wave after wave of grain and texture to show. Vertical brushed metal insets hint at the Chicago Skyway, with the dark walnut ‘lake’ surrounded by a grid work of routed carvings to represent city cross-streets, all with a clear finish on beautiful natural walnut.

Patti Tritschler, President of IIG, commented: “Our design team is so honored to work with Klem to create this whole new series and this is only the beginning.  The second design in this series is already underway and promises to be just as interesting and beautiful, with perhaps some different twists.”

Interior Image Group and Klem are creating the “Imagination” series with a variety of ancillary items to coordinate with each headboard personality. Designed as standalone items, they can be built to fit almost any design concept.  The pieces work the way guests actually use them while facilitating housekeeping, which makes them a practical, attractive and efficient solution. The flexible format allows designers and hoteliers to select materials for their specific purposes.
