Online search of art found a contractor to design a CD cover for a Los Angeles jazz musician

Rumi flute, L.A. Jazz flutist, was looking for a color art to adorn his new CD cover, titled "Rumi Zabumba & Rumba." with a funny title like this, would you want some festive, colorful art! Rumi found Lindy Gaskill by doing a search online and was immediately taken by her whimsical, colorful style of painting.

The debut solo album, "Rumi Zabumba & Rumba" includes 10 dynamic Afro-Latin jazz arrangements of Rumi flute original compositions along with fresh takes on classic tunes from around the world.

Recorded with an all-star band including Venezuelan piano legend Otmaro Ruiz and bassist Hussain Jiffry of Sergio Mendes group of Rumi arrangements include Afro-Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Argentina and Afro-Peruvian rhythms.

Rumi knew she wanted original artwork to commemorate this project once and it seemed difficult for the right artist. Rumi, said, "I searched online using keywords like" tropical painting "and" colorful entertainer. "When Rumi saw Lindy Gaskill work she immediately felt a connection between images of Andrew and his music.

Lindy Gaskill, fine artist and graphic designer, was able not only to instruct painting for jacket cover but designed CD Pack as well.

"Linda has many pictures already, that would have worked great as a cover but I was so excited to be able to get her on the Commission for an original piece," said Rumi. "She is extremely responsive and intuitive, gives me exactly what I was looking for and much more. When she first showed him I liked the picture immediately!
