Ministry of Culture and Tourism Turkey have recently confirmed their support of IQPC’s Stadium Design and Development Istanbul due to take place between 29 and 30 April 2013 at the Sheraton Maslak Istanbul. This summit will provide a beneficial forum for stadium and sporting venue stakeholders and international members of the stadium design industry from across the value chain as the country moves closer to a decision on whether they will host the 2020 Olympic Games.
The confirmed support of the event from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism further highlights their passion to encourage the development of sporting tournaments and venues in Istanbul to facilitate tourism and cultural growth. The event will feature a keynote presentation from Turkish Football Federation’s Cenk Cem, Manager of Stadium and Security, who will discuss the challenges and achievements of the Federation as the bidding process for the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship continues.
The summit will feature many other key local and international presentations revealing the latest developments and technical challenges related to projects within the stadium planning, design and construction sector including Turkish Green Building Council, Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey, Organising Committee of the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games and Organising Committee of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and Paralympic Winter Games.
